Should you trust Robert KIYOSAKI?
Should you trust Robert KIYOSAKI?
I read some of his books and I’m reading some now. Some ideas are repeating over and over. It’s funny, it seems that some simple truth will be easy to understand first time, yet it only enters inside the brain after constant repetition.
There are quite a few negative reviews of Robert KIYOSAKI’s work in general and about the character “Rich Dad” in particular. Was he or not a real person? I don’t know for sure. But I know for sure that I don’t care.
Everyone gets the information from a book filtered by his/her own ideas and experience about the world. If you already know what’s in his books, they are useless to you.
I spent some years (quite a lot) in school, wasting my time without accomplishing something real. Looking back, I understand now why I learned all kind of irrelevant details about obsolete stuff. I deeply regret that I didn’t read “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” earlier, just to find out that I was on the wrong track.
That book offered me an answer to my struggle with the financial issues, unavoidable inside the rat race. It gave me a picture of myself which I didn’t like and, more than that, it made me agree with “What if I’m the problem?”. I used to blame a lot of people when something was wrong in my life. Now the blaming period is over. Robert KIYOSAKI didn’t give me a solution. He only provided the hints to find it myself.
Maybe all that he said in his books is known for centuries. Letters from the Latin alphabet are known for centuries, yet new ways to mix them are found every day. Robert KIYOSAKI didn’t make sensational statements. Robert KIYOSAKI didn’t offer guaranteed solutions. He just opened my eyes, showed me where I was and where I could have been. Showing the way to succeed is not the purpose of the book. He doesn’t say, “I’ll lead you the way”, but “There is a way.” I know, it sounds trivial, but I really need that information. Assume you have cancer, everybody tells you that you’re going to die in one year, and there is nothing that can be done. One day, you read in a book that there is a cure for cancer, and it’s called Curitilis. I bet you’d start looking for Curitilis everywhere. It doesn’t matter how much it will cost. You’ll find the way to get it, once you are aware of its existence.
Should you trust Robert KIYOSAKI? It doesn’t matter if you trust his books or not. You still can benefit from a seed that can change your life. Next time when you have financial problems, before blaming others, ask yourself “What if I’m the problem?”. “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” does not come with a written contract, stating that you must follow all the suggestions from the book. Why people are losing money, blaming Robert KIYOSAKI? It’s something beyond greed, and beyond fear. But not beyond the mind of someone who wants to get his/her life as it could be, not as it is.
You could buy “Rich Dad, Poor Dad“, be totally unsatisfied and ask for a refund. Or, you could understand it, change yourself and become the bookstore owner.
