How to fix the “out of memory” error in WordPress

After I installed several plugins, I started to receive errors like this:

I edited the /etc/php.ini file, and I increase the limit from 128M to 256M

1. It’s 256M, not 256MB, not 256 M
2. I restarted httpd, with the command:
service httpd restart

Have you seen this?
