How to create a new file in Linux (CentOS 7)

To create a new file in Linux (CentOS 7), type touch filename then press Enter..
filename is the name of the file you want to create.

You can see it in action in the silent video below, where we created the new file called test. The command was touch test.

We listed the files from the current directory, then we created the file called test, then we listed again the files from the current directory, to verify the test file was created.
